Gaza: Israeli airstrikes continue to devastate Gaza, with several deadly attacks leaving many families dead or trapped. In the early hours of April 22, 2025, at least 11 people were burned to death inside their home in Khan Younis after multiple air raids sparked a deadly fire.
In Gaza City, seven family members were killed in an airstrike on the house where they were sheltering. Further north in Jabalia refugee camp, five people, including a husband, his wife, and three children, were killed when their tent was struck by a missile.
The destruction extends beyond the lives lost. Trucks and bulldozers used to clear rubble were destroyed in air raids on Jabalia’s municipal garage. Many families in northern Rafah remain trapped, unable to reach safety as the Israeli army blocks Red Cross vehicles from evacuating them. Throughout the night, explosions echoed across Gaza City as homes were systematically demolished, leaving more families to face the growing destruction.
